38 years of experience
IDI Group was created in 1970 by French public authorities and privatised in 1987. Today, management has a two thirds controlling interest. Because it invests primarily its own equity capital, it is able adopt a strategy based on pursuing longer-term relationships.
IDI Group's investments cover four main areas:
A core business in France in leveraged buyouts (LBOs) and, accessorily, expansion capital and the acquisition of significant holdings in listed SMEs,
Further diversification through three businesses:
- Mezzanine and equivalent in France: mezzanine financing (in priority through FCPR IDI Mezzanine with funds under management of €90 million), investments in discounted LBO loans,
- IDI Emerging Markets: private equity investments in major emerging markets primarily in Asia and Europe (IDI Emerging Markets - €216 million of capital),
- Other financial assets: a diversified portfolio of hedge funds and stock funds providing a tool for the dynamic management of Group funds.
Since its IPO in 1991, IDI Group has provided shareholders access to a profitable and diversified selection of unlisted assets. IDI's annual share return with dividends reinvested has been more than 15% over 17 years. |
