Alkan designs, manufactures, sells and provides maintenance for carriage and ejection systems in the aeronautics sector. The group’s strong innovation culture and custom development capacity have contributed to the success of its products, which are used in over 60 aircraft models worldwide.

Through organic growth and acquisitions, Alkan has established a strong reputation as a go-to supplier for the aeronautics market. In 2017, via a new transaction IDI reinvested in the group as a joint controlling shareholder alongside the Chevrillon group and Alkan management. In 2018, the group further extended its product range and R&D capacity through the acquisition of Seca, a company specialising in studies, design and maintenance of computer hardware, electronics and electromechanical equipment. The acquisition of Aéroprécis in early 2020 strengthened the group’s machining capacity for high-precision mechanical components in order to improve its response to customer requirements and boost growth.
